Antique Express was founded by Katy le Blanc and Nina van Toulon in 1994 in Hong Kong. Both Dutch and living in Hong Kong for 10 years we started buying Chinese antiques on mainland China. In those days antiques were plenty and we exported countless red wedding cabinets and small accessories all over the world.

But times have changed and also taste has changed. Real antiques became rare and interior decorators moved from reds to blacks and naturals.

So we also changed and started to produce our own collections and brands, some based on traditional East Asian styles – our Hu Tong© furniture- and some totally different and more Western style, like our Hortus© lamps and our Bohemia© and Pure Nature© furniture lines.

However, we can’t forget about the antiques and we continue to look for beautiful old and unique pieces, furniture and objects, and we sell them out of our warehouse in The Netherlands, on tradeshows in Paris Maison&Objet and Singapore Furniture Show and through this web-site.
